What this budget includes

Labour, standard materials, routine preparation and normal setup for the selected scope. Priming and finish coats follow the stated surface allowance; specialist coating systems are assessed separately.

Excluded: scaffolding, edge protection and specialist access; major timber / roofing repairs; lead or asbestos work; wallpaper removal; window sashes and glazing; travel outside normal local work; urgent or after-hours programmes. Prices can fall outside the range after inspection.

Skim coating excludes painting and full new-board stopping. Deck and fence rates cover straightforward recoating, not stripping or rebuilding. Roof budgets exclude stone-chip or unidentified materials.

How to read your painting estimate

A range is useful for planning; the fixed quote depends on inspection. Measurements should cover the actual surfaces to be painted. Roof slope, preparation, trim and specialist access can make similar-looking homes cost different amounts.

Questions before you book

Do I need to use the calculator to request a quote?

No. You can send the form above or call directly. The calculator is optional and does not require contact details.

Does the calculator include GST?

Yes. Its headline range includes 15% GST. The breakdown shows the selected work excluding GST, then the GST amount. The overall range is rounded outwards to the nearest $50.

Is the online result a fixed quote?

No. It is an indicative planning range for the described scope. Preparation, repairs, access and measurements are confirmed at the site assessment.

Can I send project photos?

Yes. Email photos to info@tomarcontracting.co.nz with your name and suburb. Photos of roofs should be taken from the ground or use images you already have; do not climb up to take them.
