The brief
The metal roof was prominent from the street and showed coating wear and exposed areas. The owners wanted a more consistent appearance ahead of marketing the property.
Cleaning and preparation
Growth treatment, cleaning and preparation of loose coating formed the first stages of the work. A roof’s material and condition determine suitable preparation methods, so these are assessed before a coating programme is agreed.
Fixings, rust and primer
Ageing nails were replaced with screws, and local rust was prepared and primed before the topcoats. These details matter when planning a roof repaint: the metal must be suitable for recoating, and areas needing roofing repair require attention first.
A renewed roof finish
The completed photographs show a more consistent dark finish across the prominent roof. The project video and photographs offer a closer look at the preparation and renewed appearance.
